Penne Rigate with salmon and Fiery Vodka

10 oz of Pasta1/2 tbsp butter8 oz salmon, brown parts cut off, skin removed, cut into 1/2 inch pieces. 1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp pepper1 oz Absolut Peppar (or whatever vodka)1/2 cup heavy cream at room temperature1 tbsp lemon juice1/4 cup minced fresh dill weed2 cloves garlic
1. Cook the penne in well salted water until aldente.
2. Steam the cut pieces of asparagus until aldente.
3. Meanwhile, melt the butter over high heat in a non stick saute pan. Add the salmon, garlic, salt, pepper, and cook briefly until opaque. Add the vodka to deglaze. Cook for approx 30 seconds while vodka evaporates.
4. Add the cream and lemon juice. Stir and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat, add the fresh herbs and cover to keep warm. Add sauce and asparagus to cooked pasta and serve immediately. Parmesan optional.
