3 T olive oil1.5 medium onions, chopped4 cloves garlic, minced1 lb dried pinto beans, soaked8 cups water1 t oregano1 t cumin1/2 t ground cloves1/4 t cayenne pepper, or to taste
Saute onions and garlic in oil. Add rest of ingredients. Bring to boil. Simmer for 2 to 3 hours, or until beans are done. Adjust spices to your taste.
