Abell's Flat Bread

Ingredients
2 c flour1/4 c olive oil1 tsp. salt2 tsp. sugarwater
Directions
1. Mix dry ingredients
2. Blend in olive oil wih fork or pastry cutter.
3. Add a little cold water and blend until its a dough consistancy.
4. Flour the counter surface and knead the dough for 3-5 minutes.
5. Grease a cookie sheet or lay down parchment paper.
6. Lay dough in middle of sheet and press out with fingers until you fill the sheet.
7. You can sprinkle spices or herbs on the bread.
8. Bake for approximately 25 minutes.

    This recipe is great but doesn't include at what temp to cook it. I went for 180C in a fan forced oven and that worked pretty well. I also used between 1/3 and 1/4 cup water, whole wheat flour, and instead of sprinkling herbs on it, mixed some Italian seasonings and chopped garlic straight into it - 1/9/09

    This was more like a cracker than what I was looking for, but tasted good- I put peanut butter on it when it cooled for a tasty snack. - 11/8/11

    I really liked this recipe. I also used the whole wheat flour and added the seasoning after baking. Next time I'm going to add some lemon and orange zest just to try something different. I'll definitely be using this recipe often. - 5/16/10
