INGREDIENTS: 1 cup refined flour 1 pinch baking powder salt shorteningFILLING :1/2 cup cabbage shredded 1/2 cup carrot finely chopped 1/4 cup capsicum " salt hot spiceMAKE HOT SPICE : 2 nutmegs, 1 inch stick of cinnamon, 5 cloves, few pepper, a pinch of asafoetida. PROCEDURE :prepare the dough and keep aside[flour,baking powder, shortening, salt] MAKE FILLING : mix all the vegetables, add salt, spice. Over the flame in a thick-bottomed pan put little oil and cook the vegetables and evaporate the excess water. DO NOT ADD WATER. Make small circles from the dough , and fill the vegetables ,Seal the ends. STEAM THE MOMOS . Sometimes I also BAKE them. SERVE HOT WITH TOMATO KETCHUP. I usually top the momos first with tomato sauce, then soya sauce, white sauce, and shredded cheese. You can experiment with chilli sauce, salsa and any topping, filling of your choice.
