Penne pasta with vegetable and meat sauce

Barilla penne pasta3 oz red wine1 lbs. lean ground beefOnions, raw, 3 tbsp choppedClassico Spicy Red Pepper tomato sauce, 1 cupBarilla Penne, 8 ozMushrooms, fresh, 1 cup, pieces or slicesGreen Peppers (bell peppers), 1 cup, choppedOlive Oil, 2 tbspOregano, ground, 1 tpsBay Leaf, 1 tsp, crumbled*Cheese - Parmasean Grated 1Tablespoon
Saute 3 tablespoons of onion. Once onions are tender add in the ground beef and season with salt and pepper and add bay leaf. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add wine and cook until browned. Add the chopped peppers cook 2 minutes and add the chopped mushrooms and cook 3 minutes more. Turn heat down and simmer for 5 minutes. Boil water in pot. Enough to add 1 pkg. of the Barilla penne pasta. Bring water to a boil and season with salt. Add pasta and cook to your preference.
Drain pasta and put back in pot. Add the meat/vegetable sauce to the pasta and combine until the sauce has coated the pasta. Sprinkle with Parmasean cheese.
