*Japanese Pumpkin Kabocha Squash, 4 cup *Gourd, white-flowered (calabash), cooked, 3 cup (1" cubes) Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) *concentrate cooking tamarind, 2 oz *Jaggery (GUD), 20 gram(s) *chilli powder, 2 tsp Salt, 1 tsp *cumin powder, 1 tbsp *Red Chillies (1 chillie), 2 serving *Butter - Ghee, 2 tsp Mustard seed, yellow, 1 tbsp
U can make it in the slow cooker if u want to or pressure cook the veggies.
Initially heat the ghee and add cumin, red chillies, mustard seeds and let it sputter...add the onions, gourd and kabocha...and let it simmer and then add water to get as many servings as u want. I added 4 glasses of water and let it simmer for a long time...U cud do this in a cooker and let it cook over time...then add a piece of jaggery and the tamarind, salt, chilli powder...u can eat it as a soup or with rice.

thanks Komal..u can add anything to this..u can sweet potato, yams...anything starchy except potato...even arbi and any gourd
