Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped onion1/2 cup butter1/2 cup flour5 cups milk10 cups potatoes2 cups ham
Directions
To Make Sauce:
cook onion in butter til tender but not brown. stir in flour 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. cook and stir 1-2 minutes more. remove from heat. Place half of sliced potatoes in a greased 4 quart casserole. cover with half the sauce, repeat layers. Bake in 350 oven for 45 minutes, stirring once. uncover bake about 35 minutes more or until potatoes or until potatoes are done.
