Bittman's Bean Burgers

Ingredients
Medium onion, cut into chunks2 Cups drained can beans (white are best)1/2 C rolled oats1 T chili PowderSalt & Pepper
Directions
Cut onion and put in food processor, along with 2 C drained canned beans, 1/2 C rolled oats, 1T chili powder, salt & pepper. Pulse, stopping occasionally to scrape the sides as necessary. Taste; if it's too dry, add water; too wet, add more rolled oats, a tablespoon at a time. Divide the mixture into four even patties and cook in olive oil til nicely browned each side (turn carefully). Serve on toasted buns with lettuce, tomato and onions
