Frito Pie - Classic

* Ground beef, lean, 16 oz * Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped * *Fritos Scoops Corn Chips, 16 oz * Chili powder, 2 tbsp ( * Catsup, low sodium, .5 cup * Cinnamon, ground, 1 tbsp * Pepper, red or cayenne, .5 tsp * *Cumin seed, 1 tsp * Green Peppers (bell peppers), .5 cup, strips * Cheddar Cheese, 1 cup, shredded * 1 Can corn optional
Brown ground beef (chicken or turkey may be substituted)
Drain and add onion and peppers, continue to brown lightly.
Add remaining ingredients, stir, and simmer for 30 minutes (until fritos absorb liquid)
Top with additional cheese and sour cream if desired
Serving size = 1 cup
