Italian turkey meatballs

Ingredients

1 carrot1/2 C onion1-2 clove garlic1/2 C parsley20 oz lean ground turkey (93% lean)1/2 C breadcrumbs1 egg1/2 tsp ea salt & pepper1 tsp Italian seasoning2 C marinara sauce
Roughly chop carrot, onion, garlic and parsley and add to a food processor. Pulse until the veggies are chopped fine and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add turkey, breadcrumbs, egg and seasonings and mix until well combined. Form into 12 meatballs and place on a baking sheet. Broil 10-12 minutes turning halfway through cooking time.
Heat marinara to a simmer in a pot large enough to hold the meatballs. Place broiled meatballs in the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes, or until cooked through. Stir gently to coat with sauce as they cook.
