Shrimp Creole

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups chopped onion1 cup finely chopped celery2 medium green peppers, finely chopped2 cloves garlic, minced1/4 cup light butter1 can (15oz) tomato sauce1 cup water2 tsp snipped parsley1 tsp salt1/8 tsp cayenne red pepper2 bay leaves, crushed16 oz fresh or frozen cleaned raw shrimp3 cups hot cooked rice
Directions
cook & stir onion, celery, green pepper & garlic in butter, until onion is tender. Remove from heat; stir in tomato sauce, water & seasonings. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Add water if needed. Stir in shrimp. Heat to boiling. Cover and cook over medium heat 10-20 minutes or until shrimp are tender. Serve over rice
