Creamy Bean & Ham Soup

8 oz tomato sauce1 cup water1 cup ham, extra-lean, cubed1 cup onions, chopped1 tsp instant beef bouillon1 tsp salt1/2 tsp pepper1 clove minced garlic3 stalks celery, cut into 1/2 inch pieces1 can great northern beans, undrained2 cups carrots, sliced2 cups potatoes, mashed
1. Heat tomato sauce, ham, onion bouillon, salt, pepper, garlic and celery in large kettle. Heat to boiling, cover & simmer 15-20 minutes until celery is tender.
2. Stir in beans, carrots, & potatoes. Heat to boiling.
3. Reduce heat, cover & simmer for 10-15 minutes to blend flavors.
4. If soup is too thick, add skim milk or evaporated skim milk until desired consistency is achieved.
