It should be named Croatia goulash or Serbian goulash. Hungariens occupied Serbia and thats from where they stole the recipe. - 1/15/13

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this. I cooked it in my crock pot overnight and it turned out wonderfully! Didn't brown the meat first to save calories. Just tossed it all in the crock pot and layered the onions on top. I cooked it on low for 12 hours. It was delicious! - 8/6/09

This was a huge hit in our house including the kids. The only thing I did different was to omit the flour/water mixture at the end because we tend to like saucy things that go over pasta/rice. The next time I made it I used less water and didn't cook it as long. It still turned out great! - 9/5/11

My family really liked this. It works well nutritionally with a spinach salad, too. - 11/20/13

I took the suggestion from MyFinalHope and put G pepper, mushrooms and corn in for some extra veggies. Everybody loved it but we only got four servings because they supplemented their helping once they tasted it. Loved the flavor and spicy aftertaste. - 3/7/11

I was concerned with the ketchup based sauce and even tried it before adding it with the meat and didnt like it the ketchup was overpowering. However I ate it as a finished product and loved it didnt take like ketchup at all. Nice job here! I did add bell pepper, mushrooms and corn.. Yummm.... - 2/15/11

I added some peppers just before serving. And I also made it in my slow cooker so all the flavours mixed together slowly. Absolutley yummy - 8/16/10

This recipe was so easy to fix. Since I am only cooking for 2, my DH and I ate it over noodles, and I froze the rest in 2 containers for 2 more meals. We loved it! - 1/14/10
