2 cups flour 3 cups Quaker corn tortilla mix3 tblsp Lawreys Seaned salt or to your taste4-5 peices of chicken already cooked, de-boned, & slightly shredded 4 cups cooking oil or less to fry gorditasMake 2 round pieces of plastic size of a regular tortilla to flatten masa mixTo startPut in a bowl the flour and masa mix combine with the lawreys seasoned salt, start adding water and begin mixing both until its a nice dough,prepare some of the mixture by taking a bit at a time and creating smaller than golf size balls, Prepare the plastics for flattening the golf balls into mini tortillas ( making 2 at a time ) Put the golf sz tortilla mixture between the 2 sheets and flatten this will create the small,size tortilla ( you need to make 2 of these) one is the bottom, and the other is the top.Once you have the bottom made, you put the filling, which is the cooked chicken in the middle of the flattened uncooked tortilla mix. Then you put the top over the chicken and pinch the mini gordita all around to seal it. Then put it into the frying pan with the hot cookingmoil and fry until golden brown.Continue doing this until finished with the masa mixture Next make sure you have the 2 round plastic ready to put
Heat up the cooking oil to begin to fry the gorditas
