Black Bean Patties

1 (15 oz. 425 g.) can of black beans, drained2 medium carrots, raw chopped1 medium ripe tomatoes, chopped1 large egg1 cup original breadcrumbs1 teaspoon dry parsley flakes1 teaspoon smoked paprika1 teaspoon of garlic powder2 dashes of pepper2 tablespoons of canola oil for frying (or you can skip this part and grill the patties)
Combine drained beans, carrots, tomato and egg in a food processor and process until well blended. You want the mixture to be smooth, but have a bit of chunks still.
Transfer the mixture into a bowl, add in seasonings and breadcrumbs. Combine everything and divide into 6 portions. Make patties out of each portion.
In a large skillet heat oil over medium/high heat. Add in patties and cook about 5 minutes per side or until they form a crunchy outside.
If you are grilling your burgers, just brush them lightly with oil on each side and grill for 5 minutes per side as well.
