Ingredients
Directions
Batter:2/3 cup whole wheat flour2 tsp baking powder1 egg6 tbsp 2% milk3 tbsp honey2 tbsp canola oilFilling:1 cup chopped apple (I don't peel mine)cinnamon to tastenutmeg to taste
This recipe makes 6 muffins.
1. Whisk the wet ingredients until the honey dissolves.
2. Add the dry ingredients and stir until incorporated, but lumpy.
3. Stir the filling in gently.
4. Divide mixture into a muffin pan (with paper liners if desired).
5. Bake at 375-400F for 15-20 minutes, depending on your oven. Just keep an eye on them, they get pretty dry when overcooked. I bake mine for 15 minutes at 375F.
6. You'll make this one over and over again! So easy, tasty, healthy and affordable.
7. You can add a little sweetener to your batter if you find that just honey isn't sweet enough for you.
