These are great!! I actually use plain splenda and they taste just as good. Sometimes adding icecream on top with granola pieces makes it seem like apple pie a la mode!! - 3/20/08

A great low-calorie alternative to the "fried apples" my mother used to make in the 70s. Great with pork tenderloin. One suggestion: water content may be too large, especially if you are making multiple servings. 1/3c or even 1/4c water per apple is probably plenty, and will help retain seasoning - 3/16/08

Absolutely wonderful! I was so hungry for something sweet that I could hardly stand it. I thought of making baked apples but hoped for a quicker way to make them--and this recipe popped up! My husband loved it as much as I did. Thanks for sharing this with us. - 6/22/10

I made it for the kids, and they both loved it. We are trying to eat healthier snacks, and they both gave it a thumbs up - 2/15/10

I used 3 apples as I was taking it over to eat with the grandkids. I started out with a cup of water, but had to drain some off, it was taking forever. But finally got it down to the right "syrupy apples", and the kids loved it! - 10/25/09

These are great! I've been making them like this for years. I'm like Nancygirl, my nanny used to make them with the butter and everything. I also decreased the water- I like the yummy syrup you get with them! Thanks for sharing. - 8/23/08
