Ingredients
1/2 cup Water3 Large Eggs, lighty beaten1/4 cup Vegetable oil1/4 cup Unsweetened Applesauce2 tsp Vanilla Extract2 cups All Purpose Flour3 tsp Baking Powder1 cup Sugar7 Tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
Directions
Add ingredients according to your bread machines recommendations. If you have an add feature on your bread machine, put the chocolate chips in when your machine indicates. I recommend a 'light' crust setting, to avoid the cake being too dry. It is a chocolate tooth satisfying cake, without being over the top in the sweetness department. Serve warm with fresh berries (strawberries or raspberries are a great addition), or with a small scoop of lite ice cream.

It was a nice, not too sweet, treat. Used the quick bread setting and it came out beautiful. Added it to my recipe book. - 1/11/14

did this on cake setting, burnt slightly round the edges but rose nicely and tasted quite nice although a little bitter, would make this again - 2/5/09

Baking setting was not indicated so I used the quick bake setting on Bread machine. Did not taste as good as it smelt. - 2/16/08
