Red Lentils with Chard

1.5 cups red lentils.5 cup chopped onions4 cups chard (roughly) cut into 2x2" pieces4 cubes chicken or vegetable bullion1.5 Tbsp canola oil.5 tsp cumin.5 tsp ground coriander .5 tsp turmeric.5 tsp salt3.5 cups water
1. caramelize onions in same pan you plan to cook the meal in.
2. once the onions are translucent, add the spices and salt and saute for one more minute
3. add water, lentils, bullion cubes
4. cook for 15 minutes or until lentils are soft
5. add more water if necessary
6. remove from heat, stir in chard and re-cover
7. allow to sit for 5 minutes or until chard is 'steamed' through
Serving Size: makes 6-7 half cup servings
