Barley, pearled, raw, 4 cupWalnuts, 1 cup, choppedVanilla Extract, 3 tbspStevia Liquid, 160 dropsWater, tap, 8 cup (8 fl oz)Maple Syrup, 3 tbsp
Makes 11 one-cup servings.
Wash barley in water until no impurities float. Drain and add 8 cups water, 3 tbsp Maple Syrup and the Stevia liquid. Cook on high until first boil, then medium for 20 minutes or until desired barley softeness is obtained. Let cool. Chop nuts in food processor. Mix cooled barley, chopped walnuts and vanilla (or rum) extract. Keep in the fridge for a delicious and healthy cereal. Excellent for those on a cholesterol lowering trek.
