Not Quite Mom's Turkey Meat Balls

1.25 lbs. Lean Turkey Sweet Italian Sausage1 egg plus 1 egg white1 cup Italian style bread crumbs1 tsp. sea salt1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper (or to taste)1 Tbsp. minced garlic1/2 medium yellow onion, chopped finely1.5 lbs. lean ground turkey1 Tbsp. olive oil
Remove Italian sausage from casings and put into a large bowl. Mix together Italian sausage, egg, egg white, bread crumbs, sea salt, black pepper, minced garlic and onion until thoroughly combined. Add ground turkey and gently mix with hands just until combined. Using an ice cream scoop, form into balls and place in a frying pan with olive oil. Brown on all sides, turning frequently until browned well. Add 1 cup water to pan, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until done all the way through.
