Inspirational healthy Chana Dal

Ingredients
1 lb Chana Dal Split Black Grams1/2 cinnamon stik5 stems Curry leaves, chopped 1/2 tsp Turmeric * * *2 cups Rice brown, cooked separately2 steams Curry leaves, chopped * * * 1/2 Cinnamon Stick2 pods cardamom 1 tsp Cloves2 cups Tomato Diced - Contadina 2 medium Onions Diced.2 Tbsp Garlic chopped.1 Tbsp Ginger Root ground.1/2 tsp Turmeric.1 tsp cayenne pepper.1 tsp Cumin seed that you ground.1 Tbsp smoked Paprika.
Directions
(1) Soak Chana Dal in water the night before.

(2) Boiled Chana Dal in water for 5 mins and then drained it and boiled it a second time the same.
(3) Chop 5 stems of Curry Leaves and add it to the Chana Dal along with 1/2 Cinnamon stick, 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric
(4) Added 5 cups of water to the mixture to boil
(5) Simmer Chana Dal is Al Dante (about 1 hour).

(6) In medium pot Boil 2 cups of Rice in 3 Cups of Water and add 3 stems of fresh Curry Leaves.

(7) In a separate hot pan or wok, heat the other 1/2 of Cinnamon Stick and Cloves for 30 seconds.
(8) Add to pot, diced onion and mixed together
(9) Add garlic and ginger to pot
(10) Cook until the Onion is tender, then add the diced tomato.
(11) Add 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and ground Cumin and 1 tablespoon of smoked Paprika.
(12) Simmer the mixture for around 25 mins
(13) Combine Chana Dal and Onion and tomato mixture together.
