Why would anyone have ice cream for breakfast? I would switch that for plain yogurt, or vanilla yogurt. Or this would be better suited for an after dinner snack. Has too many carbs and not enough protein for a breakfast food. - 1/30/08

Is it guava juice or guavas in juice? There is no explanation for the guava part in the recipe. I agree w/krystalkat, too high in sugar. One can of guava juice has 48 grams! The "pick-me-up" comes from the sugar, and then comes the crash! BTW, this IS a delicious drink, it's just not a healthy one :) - 2/6/08

This sounds wonderful, but the sugar content is way too high for anyone watching their carb and sugar intake. I do love guava juice though. - 1/31/08

As a juice, it's got too much solid stuff. As a smoothie, there is no thickener or fiber. I think I will stick to my fiber filled smoothie. - 2/11/20

I would blend the guavas in any case no canned food used by me, thus making a drink without using too much added sugar as I would use yogurt. - 5/19/19

Never had this, but it looks good. We had our guava tree in the back yard in Guyana & we used to pick the fruit to make drink, mix with lemon juice & passion fruit juice. It is a delicious blend. I will try this. Guava is a very sweet fruit, which can be eaten, they are two types white & pink inside - 3/3/11
