Brie En Croute

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, pre-packaged1Tbs unsalted butter1/2 cup pecans1/8 tsp ground cinnamon1 (8oz) wheel of Brie1/4 cup brown sugar1 egg, beaten(kitchen twine)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
Defrost puff pastry for approx. 15 - 20 minutes and unfold. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Saute nuts in butter until golden brown, approx 5 minutes. Add the cinnamon and stir until nuts are coated. Place nut mixture over brie and sprinkle the brown sugar over the mixture. Lay the puff pastry out on a flat surface. Place the brie in the center of the pastry. Gather up the pastry around the brie, pressing around brie and gathering at the top. Gently squeeze together the excess dough and tie together w/ a piece of kitchen twine. Brush the beaten egg over the top and sides of the bundle. Place the brie on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with crackers or sliced pears and apples.
Note to keep fruit looking pretty, squeeze a little lemon juice on the slices before serving. This will prevent browning.
