Yummy very good. Next time I am going to peel and freeze the banana like someone has said here to make it thicker... Was super easy to make. - 12/29/08

Very interesting flavor. I think it was a bit too gingery for my taste. Next time I'll cut the ginger down to 1/2 tsp. I also added 1 tsp. cinnamon ,a dash of cloves, and vanilla extract, and honey. I substituted 1 cup fat free yogurt and 1 cup skim milk for the soy- it made a nice, thick drink. - 12/29/08

I used yogurt instead of milk. Also upped the ice for a more frozen version. - 1/2/09

Very easy to make. I used a tangerine and 2% milk. I will try the frozen banana idea so I can skip the milk. - 11/24/08

I made it with orange juice instead and downsized the amounts a little, but it was DELICIOUS! Great recipe! - 7/8/08

I don't even like ginger, and this is delicious. I did change the recipe slightly, using frozen bananas, orange juice, and regular milk with the ginger so I didn't need ice cubes. It is very tasty. - 7/7/08

I agree with shoppingbaglady - add some Splenda. And Snowhite 197's suggestion for cinnamon sounds good, too. I used mandarin oranges, as well. But I didn't have soy milk, so I used skim milk. - 12/31/07

VERY GOOD AND EASY TO MAKE - 12/30/07

This smoothie is very quick and easy to make; tasty as well! I used vanilla soy milk, a drained can of mandarin orange segments, and added a little cinnamon for extra flavor. The only thing I would change would be to freexe the banana beforehand to make the texture a bit more 'shake-like'. - 8/1/07

Very yummy and easy. I will probably add a couple of packets of Splenda next time and may even punch up the ginger a bit. - 7/4/07

    Good breakfast drink. - 4/9/11

This is my first smoothie to make and try! It wasn't until too late into the process that I discovered I didn't have any ginger. Therefore, I used 1/2 t. cinnamon and 1 T. honey; plus I used 2% milk. It was good, but a little bland. Next time I will double the cinnamon and honey! - 1/1/10

I made this with 1% milk with a little vanilla added and two clementines in place of the orange. It was pleasant; but even adding more ice, I couldn't get it to thicken; maybe just be my blender. Also, I found it very bland. - 12/13/09

    Trying this!!! I love ginger! - 1/3/09

Would use skim milk myself - 12/30/08

Love the idea of frozen bananas and no ice cubes--my blender doesn't like them, and also mandarin oranges to lose the orange membrane. Wonder about using frozen peaches and the oranges for a "fuzzy navel" smoothie? - 12/30/08
