Low fat oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

1 cup all purpose flour1 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)2 tbsp butter, room temperature1/4 c plain apple sauce1 large egg1 tsp vanilla extract1/2 cup white sugar1/2 cup brown sugar2 cups quick cooking oats1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350F convection bake or 375F regular oven. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and the sugars. Beat in the egg, applesauce and the vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients and the oats. Add chocolate chips or raisins and stir by hand.
Drop heaping teaspoonful onto baking sheet. Bake for about 12 min at 350F convection bake. Makes approx. 30 cookies.
