Grandma's Chicken Cacciatore

Ingredients
2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts (boneless, skinless)1/4 c. whole wheat flour1/4 c. flax seed mealsalt and pepper to taste3 tbsp olive oil3 cloves garlic, minced1 medium onion, sliced (half circles)1 green pepper, sliced4 fresh mushrooms, sliced1 14oz can diced tomatoes, with liquid1 14oz can stewed tomatoes, with liquid1/3 c. tomato sauce1 tsp oregano1/2 c. cooking wine (red or white)
Directions
1. Combine flour, flax seed meal, salt, and pepper in plastic bag. Add chicken pieces and shake to coat well.
2. Heat oil in a skillet. Add chicken and brown on all sides.
3. Combine remaining ingredients in a crock pot. Place chicken on top. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours.
Serve with whole wheat pasta or brown rice (not included in nutrition information)
