Directions
1 lb Crawfish2 tbsp Unsalted Butter1 tsp Garlic Powder1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese1/4 cup Water1/2 oz Low Fat Cream CheeseCajun Seasoning to taste
Melt butter in a medium to large sauce pan. Sautee minced garlic, or stir in garlic powder over medium heat. When garlic becomes soft reduce heat to low and add cream cheese. Stir constantly until cream cheese is melted into the butter. Add crawfish tails to pan and sprinkle parmesan cheese over crawfish. Stir thoroughly to mix ingredients. Add water into the empty crawfish bag and gently shake to get all of the crawfish goodies left inside of the bag. Pour this mixture over the crawfish and increase heat to medium high. This liquid will give your étouffée its authentic color. Add Cajun seasoning and stir until the crawfish are hot and coated with the sauce.
