Tom's Hearty Sirloin Burger Tomato Soup

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs lean sirloin burger1 Jalapeno Peppers2 tbsp Butter1 Medium Sweet Onion, peeled and diced1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, more to taste1/2 teaspoon ground or dry oregano, more to taste1/2 teaspoon dry basil, more to taste1/4 teaspoon sea salt1 envelope onion soup mix6 cups filtered water, more to desired consistency1 (16 ounce) tomato juice1 tablespoon soy sauce1 (15 ounce) can sweet corn, drained1 cup celery, sliced1 cup fresh carrots, sliced1 Large white potato, peeled and cut into small cubes1 tbsp garlic Serve with Oyster Crackers
Directions
Directions:
1. Brown sirloin burger and onion in a large pot. Drain if needed.
2. Add onion soup mix and spices.
3. Stir in water, tomato juice and soy sauce. Bring to a boil; then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
4 Add the rest of the ingredients and the potatoes, bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer uncovered until potatoes and carrots are tender about 30 minutes. (Add more water if needed).
5. Season to taste with sea salt & pepper
6. Serve with Oyster Crackers
