2 15 oz. cans kidney beans or 2 c. dried beans, cooked1 lb. ground turkey1/2 c. chopped onions2 tbsp. chili powder1 tsp. salt1 tsp. cumin1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/2 tsp. oregano1/4 tsp. black pepper2 15 oz. cans tomato sauce1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese3 cups tortilla chips
Cook dried beans in the morning, if desired. Otherwise use canned beans. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brown turkey with onions. Add spices and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Stir in beans. Pour into 9 x 13 pan or casserole dish. Top with shredded cheese. Poke tortilla chips down into mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
