Wheat flour 3 cupsPowder milk 2 tbspYeast (I use instant yeast) 0.75 tbspWhite sugar 3 tbsp (for dough), 1.5 tbsp (for "sira")Salt 0.5 tspWater 1 cup (for dough), 1 cup (for "sira)
- Mix wheat flour, powder milk, yeast and white sugar (for dough) together. Add salt last.
- Add water till to the mixture to form soft dough.
- Take pieces from the dough to form doughnuts.
- Leave for about an hour for the doughnuts to "rise".
- After the doughnuts rise, fried half-cook (not deep fry). While frying, prepare "sira" (see below for instruction).
- Put all doughnuts in the wok filled with "sira" and stir until the "sira" on the doughnuts will take dry, whitish form.
How to make "sira":
Cook white sugar and 1 cup of water in a wok till the mixture will form whitish, sticky appearance.
Serving Size: 25 2-inch-diameter pieces
