Grandma Ida's Cucumber Salad

Ingredients
4 Large Cucumbers, sliced thinSalt down with 1/4 Cup table salt (wilts the cukes)Don't add more salt....Slice 1 medium Onion very thin, mix into cukes & saltWhen the vegs. are wilted (1/2 hour or so), rinse many times to "de-salt" vegs.Mix 1/8 Cup vinegar & 1/2 Cup sugar until syrupy - should taste equally sweet and sour...Add 1/2 Cup 1% Milk - for creamier dressing can use whole or half & half - but this ups calories.Mix well and refrigerate for hour to completely blend flavorsMakes 4-6 servings.
Directions
Refrigerate for Hour, will keep well, several days.
