Cake and pastry flour, 1 lbButter, unsalted, 1/2 lbApples, 1 kg after peeling and coringSweetzfree, 1/4 tsp + a few dropsCinnamon, 1 tspFlour, blending, 2 tbspWaterMilk to garnish
Make the pastry, either by hand or in a food processor, adding a few drops of Sweetzfree. Divide into 2 portions, 1 larger than the other and place in fridge 15 min and then at room temp 15 min. Meanwhile, grease a large, deep pie-dish. Peel, core and chop the apples. Add the Sweetzfree, cinnamon and a little water and cook over a low heat. Thicken with blending flour. Preheat oven to 425. Roll out the larger piece of pastry and line the pie dish. Add the apples. Roll out the rest of the pastry and place on top. Bake 25-35 min.
