2 cups Whole Wheat Flour (or All-Purpose Flour)2 tsp Stevia in the Raw ( or 2 tsp sugar)1 Tbsp Baking Powder1/2 tsp Salt3/4 tsp Cinnamon1/4 tsp Nutmeg1 2/3 cups Almond Milk (or regular 2 % milk)1/3 cup Coconut Oil, melted (or 1/3 cup butter, melted) 4 Egg Whites (could use .5 cup of the prepackaged whites or 2 whole large eggs)1 cup Chocolate Chips1 tsp Coconut Oil to grease the iron
Mix together dry ingredients in large bowl, except chocolate chips. In another bowl, mix the almond milk, melted coconut oil and egg whites. Slowly add to dry ingredients until well mixed. Add chocolate chips. Batter will be thick.
Grease a waffle iron with coconut oil and add batter. Cooking times vary with waffle irons but usually take around 2-3 minutes per waffle.
