Sweet Inca Porridge

Ingredients
1 cup quinoa grains, soaked1 cup rolled oats, not instant1/4 tsp sea salt3 cups water1/2 cup chopped dates1 tsp nutmeg1 tsp cinnamon1 tsp vanilla
Directions
Place first four ingredients in a pot with a tight-fitting lid. Cover. Bring to boil and then reduce heat to low. Simmer 30 minutes. Add remaining four ingredients and mix together well. Turn off heat and let sit, covered, for five minutes. Serve.

    Awesome recipe for those who want to eat healthy & still have a flavorful & filling breakfast! I added 1/4 cup chopped raisins & a couple of tablespoons of flax seed just to bump it up. Delicious & very portable. Divide into 1C portions into plastic storage containers for on the go eating! ENJOY! - 4/23/10
