Italian & Granny Smith Salad

Ingredients
½ cup coarsely chopped pecans1 T. butter1 T. sugar1 bag Italian Salad Mix (I use a head of romaine instead)2 sweet/tart apples (I use Fuji or Honeycrisp) sliced and cut into bite sized pieces¼ c. crumbled feta cheeseDressing¼ c. neutral oil (canola or light olive)2 T. apple cider vinegar2 T. sugar¼ t. garlic powder¼ t. pepper¼ t. salt
Directions
For Dressing: whisk together or shake in a jar with a tight fitting lid.

Sautee the pecans, butter and sugar over medium heat until the sugar takes on a caramel color. Pour onto a piece of aluminum foil and cool. Toss the rest of the ingredients together with the salad dressing.
