Ingredients
1 1/2 C Sugar1 1/2 C Brown Sugar4 sticks Butter4 Eggs2 tsp Vanilla5 C Flour2 tsp Salt2 tsp Baking Soda4 C Semi-Sweet Morsels (slightly less)
Directions
COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Make sure that butter is room temperature. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar (make sure to pack brown sugar and then level off) and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Make sure to beat very well with hand mixer before adding flour. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Beat well again with mixer! Stir in morsels. Refrigerate dough for at least a few hours or overnight. This will prevent the cookie from flattening out during cooking (plus recipe has extra flour). Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. They may take slightly longer to cook because they are cold before you started baking. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
