chick pea burgers

Ingredients
2 cups cooked chick peas1 cup cooked brown riceminced cilantroshredded ginger rootpressed garlic clovejuice of 1 lemon1/2 cup of cooked carrotsdash of black pepper1 egg white
Directions
in a bowl smash chick peas and carrots add garlic using a garlic press, shred ginger root and then add remaining ingredients. form patties, makes about 6 -8 patties. spray hot skillet with non-stick cooking spray. cook each side about 4 minutes or until brown and slightly crispy.

optional add low fat cheese for a "cheese chick pea burger" - serve on a bed of lettace or whole grain bun/pita
