bleu cheese salad dressing

2 cups mayo2 cups souor cream1 tsp Worchestershire sauce2 cloves garlic minced2 shallots minced 1/3 cup GOOD balsamic Vinegar1 cup or more, whatever your taste is bleu cheese1 tbsp NSA applesauce
Mix the first 3 ingredients together
Take the minced garlic and shallots and put them in a small saucepan with the balsamic vinegar.
Reduce the vinegar by 1/2. It will become thick like syrup. It will also stink up the house, but it will go away. This is such an important step.
Add the reduction to the first three ingredients.
Wait of course, until it cools off.
Add the bleu cheese and the applesauce.
Mix well, cover and let it all marinate for about 2 hrs. Then enjoy.
I don't add salt, but you may want to. Also a little pepper if you want.
Makes 8 oz servings

This sounds good! HOWEVER, the mayo, s. cream and cheese total 4338 cals, so your numbers are NOT correct. This recipe is 542 cals per 1/2C (!) serving, 68 per Tbl. Apparently you are using LF versions of some ingredients; it would be very helpful if you'd make the changes. (NSA is no sugar added.) - 4/17/13
