Stir-Fried Shrimp

Ingredients
2- 1/4 in slices gingerroot1 large clove garlic2 tbsp. soy sauce1 tbsp. dry sherry (optional)2 tbsp. ketchup1 tsp sugarpinch cayenne pepper2 tbsp. vegetable oil1 lb raw shrimp, shelled, deveined and patted dry2 green onions, including tops, cut diagonally into 1 in pieces1- 6 oz frozen pea pods thawed (optional)
Directions
crush gingerroot and garlic together; set aside. Mix next 5 ingredients; set aside. Heat oil in uncovered wok at 375. Add gingerroot and garlic; stir fry 10 seconds. Add shrimp and stir fry 3 minutes or until pink. Add green onion and peppers and stir fry for additional 30 seconds. Serve immediately.
