Amish Beef and Cabbage

Ingredients
1 lb. Ground Beef1 c. chopped onion1 med. head cabbage, chopped small1 T butter or marg.1/2 tsp. minced garlic1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes1 (8 oz.) can tomato saucesalt and pepper to taste
Directions
I large pan, brown meat with onion. Drain. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Cover and simmer 20-30 minutes or until cabbage is soft.
