2 4oz Ahi Tuna Steaks2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil1/2 tbsp unsalted butter1 tsp black peppercorns 1 tsp kosher salt1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1) Season the tuna steaks with salt and cayenne pepper
2) Melt the butter with the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Cook the peppercorns in the mixture until they soften and pop (you can begin to mash them up the pan) Gently place the seasoned tuna in the skillet and cook to desired doneness. 1 1/2 minutes on each side on medium for rare.
Serving Size: Makes 2 servings
