Ingredients
1 cup melted butter2.5 cups semolina #21tsp baking powder1 cup sugarLet stand for 5 minutesAdd 1 cup yogurtMix well add up to one cup milk to desired thicknessSyrup1 cup water1 cup sugar2 tbsp lemon juiceYou may choose to add orange blossom water or rose water as well for authentic flavour.
Directions
1 cup melted butter
2.5 cups semolina #2
1tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
Let stand for 5 minutes
Add 1 cup yogurt
Mix well
add up to one cup milk to desired thickness
Pour into a 9x13 pan or large round pan and let sit for 10-15 min. Then
Bake at 350 for approx 40 minutes...until golden brown
While it bakes, quickly bring syrup to boil until it thickens. Let syrup cool and pour over cake as soon as it is out of oven.
Let cake cool...cut into squares and serve.


Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
You may choose to add orange blossom water or rose water as well for authentic flavour.

Serving Size: Depending on size of pan it can make 24 large squares or 36 smaller ones
