3 medium granny smith apples1 Cup of Old Fashioned Oats5 tsp packed brown sugar2 TBS butter2 TBS lemon juice1/2 TBS of honey1 tsp cinnamon
Peel and core apples. Dice apples up in bite size chunks. Add 1 TBS of butter in sauce pot then add apples cooking for 7 minutes on medium heat stirring occasionally. While cooking apples Place oatmeal half tsp on cinnamon in a baking pan and place on 350 degree oven stirring occasionally for about 7-10 minutes until slightly brown or fragrant (do not over bake). Then add lemon juice and cinnamon to the apples, stir and continue cooking for 5 minutes. After oats are slightly brown turn off oven take oats out and add 1 TBS of butter and the honey and stir in butter and honey until oats are coated and place bake into warm oven for 3-5 minutes until apples are done. Once apples and oats are done cooking either pour oats into apples or serve plated apples and then sprinkle oat crumb.le over apples
