*Cathy's Homemade Chili w/ Beans

Ingredients
1 1/2lbs Turkey: Ground, 85% Lean Ground3 tbsp Chili powder1/2 tsp. Cumin Powder3 cloves Garlic, chopped 2 medium Onions, chopped1 med Green Bell Pepper, chopped1 fresh Jalapeno, seeded and diced6 - 14.5oz cans Diced Tomatoes w/ Garlic & Onion3 - 15.5oz cans Red Kidney Beans - Bush's Reduced Sodium1/2 cup Red Wine
Directions
Dump Kidney Beans and Tomatoes with all liquid into a 12-15 quart pot, add green pepper, jalapeno, onion, spices and wine. Bring just to a boil then reduce to low and simmer.

Brown ground turkey with garlic, drain well and add to pot.

Cover pot with lid askew (so steam can escape), simmer on low for 4 hrs or until desired consistency.

Stir and taste occasionally, after two hours adjusting spices as needed.

DO NOT adjust seasonings before simmering for at least 2 hours, the flavors change as everything melds together and thickens.
