Mama K's Homemade Beef Stew

Ingredients
2 cup Pacific Natural Foods Organic Beef Broth, 1 cup 150 gram(s) Yukon Gold Potatoes, 1/2 cup chopped, raw (by DS1222) 3 cup, chopped Carrots, raw 2 serving pearl onion (by GRAPEMAN) 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 16 oz STK Beef Hannaford Angus Chuck Stewing 4 Oz (260) (by 69FOOD) 1 fl oz Whiskey 1 tbsp Honey 1 serving Low-Sodium Worchestershire Sauce (by CYZZANE) 1 lime yields Lime Juice
Directions
Marinate stewing beef in the following:
whiskey, honey, low sodium Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, and water. Pierce the beef with forks to allow marinate to fully permeate the meat. Marinate in refrigerator overnight.

Prepare vegetables and put them into the crockpot in the following order: potatoes on the bottom, carrots next, topping the vegetables with the pearl onions.

Sear brown the stewing beef in a pan until the meat is browned but juices run bloody, adding the stewing beef to the crockpot. Be sure to cook all of the marinate in the pan, then add it to the crockpot. Finally, pour beef broth (or stock) over the ingredients, add water, salt and season to taste.

Settings for the crockpot are as follows:
A quick cook: High for 3 hours, reduce to low for 2 hours.
A slow cook: Low for 8 hours.
