un stuffed cabbage rolls

Ingredients
24 oz Ground beef, extra lean (15% fat) browned and Drained 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 cup, chopped Onions, raw 1 clove Garlic minced1 head, medium (about 5-3/4" dia Cabbage, fresh ( diced or in strips)3 cup Del Monte Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes (28 0unce can)1 cup Tomato Sauce (8 ounces) 3/4 cup Rice | Minute | White Rice (Cooks in 5 Minutes) 1/2 cup water 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp sea salt
Directions
cook ground beef in large pot ( like a dutch oven or soup pot ) with onion and garlic till no longer pink drain off all grease
( I omit olive oil but it is calculated in the recipe)
while meat is cooking cut cabbage in half lay flat side on cutting board and cut the cabbage into slivers then in half again. set aside .
add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce to pot of meat and water ( if you need to, you may add more water, but remember it is difficult to remove too much, so add a little at a time ) het mixture and simmer approximately 10 min now add cabbage at first it is hard to stir in so much , but just take your time, and stir it in .As it softens it cooks down.
cook till cabbage is tender about 30 min then add minute rice and cook about ten min let stand covered for few min then serve.
