Great pizza substitute when I am craving sauce and cheese. I used my George Foreman grill and sprayed the bread slices with olive oil spray before grilling. Added a sprinkle of italian seansoning to the cheese before sandwiching together. Yum :) - 1/29/09

I used to make this for my teenage son, he was trying to lose weight, but I would use half of a whole wheat pita, stuff it with part skim shredded mozzarella, turkey pepperoni and the lowest cal pizza sauce that I could find. Then I would melt it under the broiler til the cheese melted. - 6/26/09

Isprayed the outside of the bread with "I can't believe it's not butter" spray, that way it got nice and toasty. I also used Franz Whole Grain white bread. Yummy! nice recipe, thanks! - 9/12/08

This recipe was absolutely delish! Thanks for sharing. By the way, I did pair it with a salad for lunch one day. I don't know why, but it made the sandwich taste even better! Congrats on a fantabulous recipe. (: - 6/10/08

You can make this or any "grilled"cheese without any oil by just putting it open faced in a toaster oven until cheese melts. Shaves off a few calories. - 3/4/09

Super tasty and easy, thats my kind of recipe. I added a little oregano to give it more of a pizza taste. - 6/12/08

I loved this recipe. I make it with Arnold's Sandwich Thins, a little light butter (for grilling) and 3 thin slices of pepperoni. It adds a few calories, but it satisfies my pozza urge- so it's worth it. - 4/22/09

Was okay, certainly kid friendly. Would recommend sourdough or Italian bread, use george forman grill or panini maker for best results. I'd call these Pizza Paninis. I brushed the outside of the bread lightly with olive oil and added turkey pepperoni in my kids' sandwiches. - 1/29/09

I loved the idea but can't let myself have that much sodium in one sandwich. I subbed a little pesto and sliced tomato for the marinara and used a nonstick griddle. - 7/2/09

Yum! I will make it again, with some chicken, garlic, oregano, and mushrooms. - 4/14/09

I like making these with whole wheat pita bread, cause they are round like pizza:) I've had plain cheese and also have added lean ham or turkey pepperoni at times. Endless possibilities! Thanks for sharing. - 4/14/09

I added a little Italian herb seasoning blend, but pretty good for a quick meal and a pizza fix - 9/10/08

i like to do that too, but instead of bread I like to use whole wheat buns ;) My kids love them, because they get to help make their own and they think that they have a personal pan pizza :) - 1/29/09

I made this for dinner tonight, it was very good! I used an 80 calorie slice of Mozzerella cheese in mine, and left out the Parmesan. I added some Boca crumbles to mine too. I sprayed the outside of the bread with olive oil spray and made this on my George Foreman grill. - 7/25/09

I added pineapple for a sweet kick and a fruit serving. It was so fast and a better choice instead of fast food on the nights we're in a rush! My sons very first food was grilled cheese so a variation was good for him he loved it!! - 7/4/09

We've made this same thing in a sandwich maker. Sometimes we make it with whole wheat tortilla. It's great! We also like to sprinkle garlic powder and crushed red pepper. Yumm! The sandwich maker makes it into a little toasty pocket. - 7/12/09
