2 1/2 cups whole strawberries4 cups water---------1 cup sugar12 cups water [in addition and seperate from above water]
prepare strawberries by cutting off the green tops and any bad spots; place in blender whole; add 4 cups water and blend until smooth.
pour strawberry mixture into a large pot/bowl that will hold 4 quarts. add 12 cups water and 1 cup sugar and stir until well blended.
serve over ice.
