Real Low-Carb Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients
8 string cheeses (choose a brand with one carb or less, I use Crystal Farms or Best Choice brand)2 large eggs, beaten 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated 1 tbsp Garlic powder 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
Directions
Cut string cheeses in half. In one bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. In another bowl, beat 2 eggs. Dip the cheese sticks in egg and shake off any excess. Then dip them into the Parmesan cheese and press down, ensuring it is evenly coated. Place onto a pan lined with wax or parchment paper. Repeat for each string cheese. Then place the entire pan in the freezer for at least one hour. Once they are frozen, fill a pan with about a 1/2 cup of your preferred frying oil and let it get hot. Add 4 mozzarella sticks to the hot pan, frying until lightly golden on each side. Turn very gently to achieve this. If cheese starts to ooze, slightly lower heat. Place fried mozzarella sticks onto a paper towel lined with paper towels. Serve with your favorite low carb marinara sauce. Enjoy! Serving Size: 1 mozzarella stick (but you eat as many as you can fit into your daily carb/calorie allowance) ;)
